
Tue Feb 04 22:01:40 IST 2025: ## Tamil Nadu NCC Cadets Felicitated for Republic Day Achievements
**Chennai, February 4, 2025** – Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Tuesday felicitated cadets from the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andaman and Nicobar (TN, P&AN) NCC Directorate for their outstanding performance at the recent Republic Day camp in New Delhi. The Directorate secured third place overall.
The Deputy CM lauded the cadets’ hard work, dedication, and display of discipline, leadership, and patriotism. He highlighted the state’s pride in their achievement. Commodore S. Raghav, Deputy Director General of the Directorate, expressed gratitude to the Tamil Nadu government for sponsoring the contingent’s air travel to Delhi – a first for the Directorate.
Individual cadets and teams received significant cash prizes for their accomplishments. Notable wins include:
* **Individual Awards:** Aishwarya S. Menon (₹10,000), Sgt. Bhavin Kolla (₹10,000), POC S.B. Shardul (₹10,000), Kevin V. George (₹6,000), and Cdt. Sgt. Amrith Roshaan A (₹6,000). Nine cadets also received ₹13,500 collectively for best cadet awards.
* **Team Awards:** The marching contingent (₹42,000), cultural troupe (₹35,000), PM rally team (₹37,500), Idea and Innovation team (₹3,000), and the line area competition winners (₹1.80 lakh).
The Tamil Nadu government additionally awarded ₹2.40 lakh to 120 of the 127 cadets (120 from Tamil Nadu, four from Puducherry, and three from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands). The overall success reflects the dedication and training of the TN, P&AN NCC Directorate.
