**SAVANNAH, GA —** Hunter Army Airfield issued an immediate lockdown order this afternoon, prompting concern across the base. The order, posted shortly after 2 p.m. on the base’s official Facebook page, instructed all personnel to immediately secure their facilities, remain inside, and lock all windows and doors.
Base officials have yet to release details regarding the reason for the lockdown, only stating that the Commander issued the order.
