**Melbourne, Australia** – Australian cricket celebrated its top performers at the annual awards ceremony on Monday. While the national team fell short in the T20 World Cup, their 3-1 victory in the Border-Gavaskar series against India, ending a decade-long drought, was a major highlight of 2024.

Several players were recognized for their outstanding contributions. In a close contest, Josh Hazlewood edged out leading Test run-scorer Travis Head to win the prestigious Shane Warne Men’s Test Player of the Year award, securing 20 votes to Head’s 19. Hazlewood’s impressive statistics included 30 wickets at an average of 13.16 in just five of nine Tests.

Head, however, secured the coveted Allan Border Medal and the Best ODI Player of the Year award, impressing with 1399 runs in 35 innings, including four centuries and five half-centuries.

In the women’s awards, Annabel Sutherland won the Belinda Clark Medal, showcasing her all-around talent with 615 runs and 37 wickets. Ash Gardner claimed the Women’s ODI Player of the Year, and Beth Mooney took home the Women’s T20I Player of the Year title. Adam Zampa was named the Men’s T20I Player of the Year.

Cricket legend Michael Bevan was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame. Other award winners included Cameron Green (Community Impact Award), Beau Webster (Men’s Domestic Player of the Year), Georgia Voll (Women’s Domestic Player of the Year), Sam Konstas (Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year), and Chloe Ainsworth (Betty Wilson Young Cricketer of the Year).
