Mon Feb 03 14:34:25 IST 2025: ## BJP’s Shah Attacks Kejriwal, AAP in Delhi Rally
**New Delhi, February 3, 2025** – Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia during a BJP election rally in Jangpura on Monday. Shah accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, whom he derisively referred to as “bade miyan” and “chote miyan,” of looting Delhi and neglecting its development.
Shah claimed that states governed by the BJP have seen significant progress in the last ten years, contrasting this with Delhi’s alleged stagnation under AAP’s rule. He accused Kejriwal of failing to deliver on promises, citing the Yamuna river’s pollution and the unfulfilled pledge to take a dip in the river (a stunt subsequently performed by BJP workers on Kejriwal’s effigy).
The BJP leader also targeted Sisodia, currently contesting the Jangpura Assembly seat, highlighting his imprisonment in connection with a liquor scam. Shah accused the AAP government of prioritizing liquor shops over education and alleged extravagant spending on Kejriwal’s official residence. He painted a picture of lavish amenities, including a “sheesh mahal” (palace of mirrors), costing millions of rupees.
Shah’s speech also touched upon national issues. He touted the BJP’s successes in combating terrorism, particularly referencing the 2016 surgical strikes, and the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He further highlighted the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as a testament to the BJP’s governance.
The rally marks the beginning of an aggressive BJP campaign ahead of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. The party appears to be focusing on a strategy of contrasting its governance record with that of the ruling AAP.
