Sun Feb 02 15:59:59 UTC 2025: ## YSRCP Corporator Defects to TDP in Anantapur
**Anantapur, February 2, 2025** – Balanjineyulu, a corporator representing the 19th division of the Anantapur Municipal Corporation and a member of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), defected to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Sunday. The switch was made in the presence of Anantapur Urban MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad and district party president Venkatasivudu Yadav.
MLA Prasad attributed Balanjineyulu’s decision to the developmental progress brought about by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. He claimed that sincere and hardworking leaders were overlooked by both the Congress and YSRCP. Prasad highlighted the ₹30 crore worth of developmental projects initiated in the last six months, contrasting it with the alleged lack of funding for developmental activities under the previous government. Venkatasivudu assured Balanjineyulu of due recognition within the TDP.
Additionally, Riyaz, founder of the Amma Foundation, also joined the TDP during the same event.
