Sun Feb 02 18:02:40 UTC 2025: ## Jey Uso Shocks the World, Wins 2025 Royal Rumble

**Indianapolis, IN** – In a stunning upset at the 38th annual Royal Rumble, held for the first time outside of January at Lucas Oil Stadium, Jey Uso defeated John Cena to win the men’s Royal Rumble match. The victory marks Uso’s first Rumble win and sends him to the main event of WrestleMania 41.

The main event saw a chaotic and star-studded showdown featuring wrestling legends like John Cena (in his final Rumble appearance), Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk. Rollins notably snapped after his elimination, unleashing a furious attack on Reigns outside the ring. Cena, despite a valiant effort, ultimately fell to Uso’s superkick, leaving the crowd in disbelief before graciously congratulating the victor.

Elsewhere on the card, Cody Rhodes retained his WWE Championship in a brutal ladder match against Kevin Owens. The match saw Rhodes take a dark turn, viciously attacking a bloodied Owens to secure the win. Owens sustained visible injuries, leaving him in a distressed state after the match.

Charlotte Flair made a triumphant return, winning the women’s Royal Rumble and booking her spot at WrestleMania 41. Her victory overshadowed the returns of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella, although Liv Morgan had the longest time in the ring.

The DIY tag team (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) retained their titles with some help from the Street Profits, only to be subsequently attacked by their unexpected allies.

The event also featured other notable moments, including Logan Paul’s Rumble participation and several surprise eliminations throughout the night. The Royal Rumble 2025 was broadcast live in India on SonyLiv and Sony Sports Network.
