**Vijayawada, February 2, 2025** – Union Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu lauded the Union Budget 2025, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, as a testament to the central government’s commitment to farmer welfare. In a press release, Mr. Atchannaidu highlighted the budget’s balanced approach, addressing the needs of women, farmers, youth, and the middle class.
A significant allocation of ₹1,71,437 crore has been earmarked for the agriculture and allied sectors. Key improvements include a rise in the Kisan Credit Card scheme’s credit limit from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. Furthermore, the National Mission on High-Yielding Seeds and the Cotton Mission are expected to significantly boost the agriculture and textile sectors. Increased support for fisheries and other measures, Mr. Atchannaidu stated, will contribute to the realization of “Vision Viksit Bharat.”
