**SHIVAMOGGA, KARNATAKA – February 3, 2025** – Two young men drowned in Jannapura tank in Channarayapatna taluk on Sunday, February 2nd. Ganesh (30) and Rohith (28), both residents of Shravanabelgola, reportedly went to the tank for a swim. While both were reportedly competent swimmers, one encountered difficulties, and the other attempted a rescue, resulting in both drowning.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel recovered the bodies later that day. The Shravanabelgola police have registered a case.
