**CHENNAI, February 2, 2025** – A 51-year-old man, Saifudin, has been arrested by the Chennai Central Crime Branch’s Job Racket Wing for allegedly defrauding 193 job seekers of ₹2 crore. Saifudin, owner of the unlicensed consultancy firm Saif International, promised victims employment in various European countries, including Poland, Italy, and Germany. One complainant, Padmanaban, reported paying ₹1.25 lakh for a promised meat cutter position in Poland, a job and visa that never materialized.

In a separate case, the Job Racket Wing also apprehended Nandagopalan (40) and his wife Divya (35) for cheating three individuals out of over ₹35 lakh. The couple allegedly offered fake appointment orders for driver and clerk positions in the School Education Department and Postal Department, respectively.

The arrests highlight a growing problem of job scams targeting vulnerable individuals seeking overseas employment and domestic government positions. Police investigations are ongoing.
