Sun Feb 02 10:08:07 UTC 2025: **BJP Accuses AAP MLA of Influencing Land Grabbing Probe**
NEW DELHI, February 2, 2025 – The BJP’s national spokesperson, Sambit Patra, today accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti of interfering in a land grabbing case investigation in south Delhi. At a press conference, Mr. Patra presented an alleged audio recording of Mr. Bharti pressuring an investigating officer to release an accused and destroy evidence in exchange for a bribe. The accused is reportedly a close associate of Mr. Bharti. Mr. Patra also claimed to have a video of the meeting between Mr. Bharti and the officer, which the BJP plans to release on social media. The case, registered in Jaitpur on November 10, 2023, has already resulted in a chargesheet being filed. The BJP is considering further legal action. Mr. Bharti has yet to respond to the allegations.
