**EAST CARBON, Utah (Gephardt Daily)** — A 54-year-old East Carbon man, Bobby Green, was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly attacking a man with a baseball bat. Police responded to a reported assault on West Geneva Drive where a witness described the incident.

According to the witness, Green, driving a white van, approached the victim’s vehicle. The victim reportedly warned the witness that Green was there to harm him. Green then allegedly opened the victim’s car door, struck him in the head with a baseball bat, pulled him from the vehicle, and continued the assault. The witness intervened, causing Green to stop and flee the scene.

The victim sustained injuries to his forehead and head consistent with being struck by a blunt object multiple times. While Green claimed the victim fell and injured himself, police found no evidence of icy or snowy conditions at the scene to support this claim. A search of Green’s van did not locate the baseball bat.

Green was arrested at his residence and booked into jail without bail. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony.
