Sun Feb 02 20:15:46 IST 2025: ## Kapu Leader’s Home Attacked; Tractor-Riding Youth Arrested
**Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh – February 2, 2025** – A young man driving a tractor crashed into the residence of Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham in Kirlampudi, Kakinada district early Sunday morning, causing damage to Padmanabham’s car and destroying several flex banners. The accused, identified as 22-year-old Ganisetti Gangadhar from Mangiturthi village, was arrested by police.
According to Jaggampeta Circle Inspector Y. Lakshmi Srinivas, Gangadhar not only damaged property but also verbally abused Padmanabham, who was present at the time of the incident. While the motive remains under investigation, YSRCP leaders, including East Godavari in-charge Ch. Venu Gopala Krishna and former Minister K. Kannababu, visited Padmanabham’s residence and alleged that the accused is an active member of the Jana Sena Party (JSP). This claim has been denied by the JSP. Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.
