**Panchkula, January [Date of Release]** – A new franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, the Chandra Shekhar Azad T20 Tournament, is set to launch in Chandigarh on February 7th. Organized by the UT Cricket Association (UTCA), the tournament will be held at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3, Panchkula.
Six teams – HIIMS Hawks, Talanoa Tigers, Punjab Panthers, Wild Wood Warriors, City Challengers, and Manohar Mavericks – will compete in a total of 33 matches, culminating in a final on February 23rd. All matches will be broadcast live.
UTCA president Sanjay Tandon announced the tournament, stating its aim is to promote local cricketing talent and further establish Chandigarh’s reputation as a sporting hub. The tournament is dedicated to the Indian freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad. Man of the Match awards will be presented to the top performers.
