**Mumbai, February 1, 2025** – Bollywood action-thriller “Deva,” starring Shahid Kapoor, has had a successful opening day, raking in ₹5 crore at the box office, according to tracking website Sacnilk. The film, a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film “Mumbai Police,” directed by Rosshan Andrrews, sees Kapoor portraying a rebellious police officer. Pooja Hegde co-stars as the female lead.
Initial box office data reveals strong performance in certain regions. Chennai saw the highest audience turnout at 39.33%, followed by Hyderabad at 14%. However, other cities like Bhopal, Surat, and Chandigarh reported significantly lower numbers in the single digits.
