**NEW DELHI** – The 2025-26 budget introduced significant changes to the income tax structure. Under the new tax regime, individuals will not pay any income tax on annual incomes up to ₹12,00,000. Salaried individuals choosing this regime will enjoy a tax-free income threshold of ₹12,75,000. Furthermore, the Section 87A rebate has been increased to ₹60,000.
