**Sambepalle, Andhra Pradesh – February 1, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday launched a comprehensive plan to revitalize the Rayalaseema region, focusing on horticulture, IT, and agriculture. Addressing a public meeting in Sambepalle, Naidu outlined a vision to transform the area into a thriving economic hub, contrasting his government’s approach with that of the previous YSRCP administration, which he blamed for neglecting the region.
Naidu emphasized the crucial role of technology in driving economic growth. He pledged continued support for the IT industry, highlighting the “Work from neighbor home” initiative to bring IT jobs to rural areas. This initiative, he said, will utilize the skills of local software professionals and create employment opportunities closer to their homes.
The Chief Minister’s plan also includes a significant push for horticulture, leveraging Rayalaseema’s climate to cultivate diverse crops. He acknowledged the challenges faced by farmers, promising stable support prices and improved irrigation infrastructure to boost agricultural productivity. Naidu cited the goal of transforming Rayalaseema into an agricultural powerhouse, comparable to coastal Andhra Pradesh’s Konaseema region.
Further aspects of the plan include increased solar energy production for rural electrification, strengthened e-governance services, WhatsApp-based citizen interaction platforms, and industrial investments in Kopparthi and Orvakal aimed at creating two million jobs in the coming years. Naidu expressed confidence that these initiatives, coupled with strategic investments in IT, agriculture, and renewable energy, would lead to a 58% increase in per capita income by 2047, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a model state. He also reiterated his commitment to transforming Amaravati into a globally recognized capital city. Prior to the public address, Naidu engaged in an interactive session with IT professionals from across the country.
