**Prayagraj, UP:** Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar heaped praise on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the “excellent arrangements” at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Dhankhar, who took a dip in the Triveni Sangam on Saturday, described the event as “historic,” stating that the number of attendees rivals the population of the United States. He expressed awe at the scale of the event and the administration’s handling of the massive gathering, acknowledging a recent stampede that resulted in at least 30 deaths but emphasizing the efficient response.
Dhankhar highlighted the impressive infrastructure, including over one lakh newly constructed toilets and the provision of high-quality food for pilgrims. He attributed the success of the Maha Kumbh to Adityanath’s dedication and described his holy dip as “the happiest moment of his life.” The Vice President, accompanied by his family, arrived by helicopter and was welcomed by Adityanath. His visit included prayers at various religious sites and a boat ride on the Sangam, where he performed a ritual bath with a Shivling. The Uttar Pradesh government released a statement describing Dhankhar’s visit as a blessing.
