**Pune, India** – Hardik Pandya played a pivotal role in India’s series-clinching victory over England in the fourth T20I match at the MCA Stadium in Pune. His explosive 53 runs off 30 balls, including four fours and four sixes, propelled India to a competitive total of 181 after they had slumped to 79/5. This knock also saw Pandya surpass Shikhar Dhawan to become India’s fifth-highest run-scorer in T20I history.
Pandya now boasts 1803 runs in 89 T20I innings, surpassing Dhawan’s 1759 runs from 68 matches. He is also closing in on the 2000-run milestone, a feat achieved by only three other Indian players. Remarkably, Pandya is the first Indian to amass over 1500 runs, take more than 50 wickets, and score five half-centuries in T20Is – a rare achievement shared by only three other international players globally.
India’s victory was built on strong performances from both Pandya and Shivam Dube, who also contributed a significant fifty. Despite losing the toss and facing an early setback of 12/3, India successfully defended their total, with England falling short at 166.
