Fri Jan 24 17:20:00 UTC 2025: **Sunrisers Eastern Cape Continue Winning Streak in SA20**

PORT ELIZABETH, SOUTH AFRICA – The Sunrisers Eastern Cape have secured their fourth consecutive victory in the SA20, defeating the Joburg Super Kings by 14 runs. This win propels them to second place in the league standings, a remarkable turnaround after a shaky start to the tournament.

After losing their first three matches, the Sunrisers have found their form, posting a competitive 165-4 thanks to contributions from captain Aiden Markram (43), David Bedingham (37), and Tristan Stubbs (35*). The team’s bowling attack, particularly Marco Jansen (2-19) and Richard Gleeson (2-37), proved instrumental in restricting the Super Kings to 151-8. Despite a promising start, the Super Kings’ chase faltered under pressure, with key wickets falling to Jansen, Gleeson, and Ottneil Baartman (2-32).

The Sunrisers now trail the league-leading Paarl Royals by just one point, although the Royals have played one fewer game. The Joburg Super Kings currently sit in fourth place.
