Fri Jan 24 01:15:28 UTC 2025: ## BJP Launches Scathing Attack on AAP in Delhi Election Campaign

**New Delhi, January 24, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a fierce campaign against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the February 5th Delhi Assembly elections. In rallies across the city on Thursday, BJP President J.P. Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the AAP of widespread corruption and stalled development.

Nadda detailed alleged AAP scams totaling billions of rupees, citing examples in liquor sales, taxi panic buttons, ration cards, bus purchases, and the Waqf Board. He highlighted the imprisonment of several AAP leaders, contrasting their anti-corruption stance with their current predicament.

Adityanath focused on the state of Delhi’s infrastructure, particularly the Yamuna River, comparing it unfavorably to the cleanliness of the Ganges in Prayagraj. He also accused AAP of settling illegal immigrants in Okhla and neglecting the city’s development. Both leaders promoted the BJP’s “double-engine” government model, promising Delhi’s transformation if the BJP wins.

AAP Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal responded to Adityanath’s criticism, questioning the electricity situation in Uttar Pradesh, highlighting frequent power cuts in contrast to Delhi’s 24-hour supply. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also joined the BJP campaign, accusing the AAP of deceptive politics and pledging BJP’s commitment to development. The BJP hopes to win the Delhi Assembly after nearly 28 years out of power.
