Fri Jan 24 20:43:32 IST 2025: ## Trump Orders Full Declassification of JFK, RFK, and MLK Assassination Files

**Washington D.C.** – President Donald Trump has issued an executive order demanding the full declassification of all remaining documents related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. The order, issued Thursday, aims to bring transparency to these historically sensitive cases, which have been shrouded in conspiracy theories for decades.

While the National Archives has already released approximately 99% of the JFK assassination files, thousands of documents remain withheld. The executive order directs the National Intelligence Director and Attorney General to present Trump with a plan within 15 days for the complete release of these remaining JFK documents. A similar plan for the full release of files pertaining to the assassinations of RFK and MLK must be submitted within 45 days.

The order emphasizes the public’s and the families’ right to “transparency and truth,” asserting that the release of these records is in the national interest.

The assassinations have long been the subject of intense speculation and controversy. Official investigations concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing JFK, Sirhan Sirhan killed Robert F. Kennedy, and James Earl Ray killed Martin Luther King Jr. However, these findings have been disputed by many, including family members of the victims, who point to inconsistencies in the investigations and allege potential government involvement in cover-ups.

The release of these documents is expected to reignite public debate and potentially shed new light on these pivotal events in American history. The forthcoming declassified information could offer crucial insights into long-standing questions and potentially dispel – or further fuel – enduring conspiracy theories surrounding the deaths of these three iconic figures.
