**Davos, Switzerland –** Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw led a high-level Indian delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, actively promoting India’s technological advancements and investment opportunities. Mr. Vaishnaw held several key meetings, including discussions with Swiss Federal Railways on improving India’s railway infrastructure and a presentation on India’s burgeoning semiconductor ecosystem to IBM CEO Arvind Krishna. He emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of benchmarking India’s progress against global best practices and highlighted the global interest in “Made in India” products.

The Indian delegation, the largest ever sent to the WEF, includes five Union Ministers and three Chief Ministers, showcasing India’s commitment to international collaboration. Several Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and West Bengal, have established pavilions at the WEF, actively seeking investments in sectors such as ports and logistics, IT & electronics, renewable energy, and pharmaceuticals. Chief Ministers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana specifically highlighted their states’ business-friendly environments and infrastructure advantages to potential investors.

The WEF 2025, focusing on themes of growth, technological advancements, human investment, environmental sustainability, and trust rebuilding, is expected to host over 350 governmental leaders, including 60 heads of state and government. India’s significant presence underscores its growing role as a global leader and a key player in shaping a sustainable and inclusive global future.
