**NEW DELHI** – Reports are swirling around former Indian cricket star Virender Sehwag and his wife Aarti, claiming the couple has separated after two decades of marriage. The Hindustan Times reported that Sehwag and Aarti have been living apart for several months, with divorce a strong possibility. Neither Sehwag nor Aarti have publicly commented on the reports.
The news sparked a flurry of speculation on social media, fueled by the observation that Sehwag hasn’t posted recent photos with his wife on his social media accounts, although older pictures remain. Further adding to the speculation, Sehwag is reportedly not following Aarti on Instagram.
The reports emerged just weeks after Sehwag playfully teased his son, Aryavir, on social media. Aryavir recently scored 297 runs in a cricket match, falling just 22 runs short of his father’s record-breaking 319. Sehwag jokingly reminded his son of a past promise to gift him a Ferrari if he ever surpassed his high score. This lighthearted post, however, has been overshadowed by the more serious reports regarding his marital status.
