Fri Jan 24 15:00:46 UTC 2025: ## Lokayukta Submits Report on Siddaramaiah Land Scam; BJP Demands CBI Probe

**Bengaluru, January 25, 2025** – The Lokayukta police in Mysuru submitted their investigation report on Friday into allegations of a land scam involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, B.M. Parvathi. The report, stemming from a petition alleging the fraudulent allotment of 14 alternative sites in lieu of 3.16 acres of land, was submitted to the Additional Director-General of Police, Lokayukta.

The report is expected to be reviewed and submitted to the Karnataka High Court by Saturday, ahead of a Monday hearing. The High Court, on January 15th, ordered the investigation following a petition by complainant Snehamayi Krishna who sought a CBI probe.

While Lokayukta officials remain tight-lipped on the report’s contents, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that it gives a “clean chit” to the Chief Minister and his wife. Leader of the Opposition R. Ashok called the investigation a “cover-up” and reiterated the party’s demand for a CBI probe, vowing to continue their fight against the alleged scam. It remains unclear whether the submitted report represents the conclusion of the investigation or an interim status update.
