**NEW DELHI** – As the Union Budget 2025 looms, anticipation is high within the education sector for significant investments to bolster infrastructure and accessibility. Following last year’s ₹1.12 lakh crore allocation focused on digital learning and initiatives like the Digital University, experts are urging continued modernization efforts.

Geeta Jayanth, Principal of Chaman Bhartiya School, advocates for increased funding in teacher training, experiential learning, STEM labs, and smart classrooms. She stresses the need for policies promoting innovative pedagogy and stronger collaboration between public and private institutions to achieve global educational excellence.

The EdTech industry is also looking for government support. Vinay Singh, Executive Director & CEO of Thomson Digital and Q&I, calls for increased funding for digital infrastructure in underserved areas. He suggests tax incentives for EdTech R&D and subsidies for institutions adopting digital tools to fuel innovation.
