Fri Jan 24 22:00:45 IST 2025: ## Coimbatore Police Destroy 157 Kg of Seized Ganja

**COIMBATORE, January 24, 2025** – Coimbatore police incinerated 157.687 kilograms of ganja on Friday. The contraband, seized in 255 cases across Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, and Nilgiris districts, was destroyed at a biomedical waste treatment facility following court orders. The incineration was overseen by Deputy Inspector General of Police V. Sasi Mohan and Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police K. Karthikeyan. The ganja was disposed of using an incinerator at Kovai Biowaste Management Private Limited.
