**Fayetteville, NC –** Alianna Sigler, Cumberland County Schools’ 2025 Teacher of the Year, will travel to the Netherlands this June as part of the Go Global NC 2025 program. The program, funded by the Simple Gifts Award, offers North Carolina educators a 12-day immersion in the Dutch education system, focusing on its innovative approaches to equity, vocational education, and support for disadvantaged students.

Sigler, an EC teacher at Elizabeth Cashwell Elementary, will join a delegation exploring the Netherlands’ high-performing schools, sustainable agriculture initiatives, and technological advancements. She expressed excitement about experiencing a new culture and bringing innovative practices back to Cumberland County Schools.

The itinerary includes visits to Amsterdam, The Hague, and Rotterdam, providing a comprehensive look at Dutch education, culture, and its globally recognized leadership in sustainable agriculture and STEM.
