**Mumbai, January 22, 2025** – While senior Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma continue to struggle, young Yashasvi Jaiswal is proving to be a bright spot in the latest ICC Test rankings. Jaiswal secured a commendable fourth position in the men’s Test batters rankings with 847 rating points, the only Indian batter in the top five. This comes as a stark contrast to the declining performances of Kohli and Rohit, whose batting form has significantly impacted the team’s recent results and rankings.
England’s Joe Root leads the batting rankings with 895 points, followed by Harry Brook (876) and Kane Williamson (867).
