**Hyderabad, January 23, 2025** – The Telangana government announced a significant investment boost today, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with US-based Tillman Global Holdings at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. The agreement paves the way for a ₹15,000 crore (approximately $1.8 billion USD), 300 MW data center facility in Hyderabad.
The state-of-the-art facility will cater to hyperscale clients and support AI-driven applications, cloud services, and large-scale data processing. It will incorporate energy-efficient systems and advanced cooling technologies, strengthening Telangana’s position as a tech hub.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, alongside representatives from Tillman Global Holdings. Both government officials and Tillman lauded the investor-friendly policies of Telangana and the state’s skilled workforce as key factors in attracting this investment.
This announcement follows a string of other significant investments in Telangana’s technology sector, including a ₹60,000 crore commitment from Amazon Web Services to expand its data centers, a ₹10,000 crore investment from CtrlS Datacenters for an AI datacenter cluster, and a ₹500 crore investment from Skyroot for India’s first integrated rocket facility. Hindustan Unilever also announced plans for a palm undertaking in the state. These investments collectively represent a major economic boost for Telangana.
