**New Delhi, January 23, 2025** – BJP’s New Delhi candidate, Parvesh Sahib Singh, has filed defamation suits totaling ₹100 crore against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Singh alleges that Kejriwal and Mann made false statements about him, claiming he characterized people from Punjab as a threat to the nation.

Singh denied the accusations, highlighting his family’s contributions to the Sikh community and attributing the AAP leaders’ statements to frustration over their expected defeat in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. He also accused the AAP of influencing voters through the distribution of gifts and cash.

Kejriwal responded on X, questioning whether the BJP considers all Punjabis terrorists and traitors, and demanding an apology from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The AAP chief’s post further condemned the divisive nature of the alleged statements.

The legal action follows Singh’s earlier claim that numerous vehicles carrying AAP officials had entered Delhi to campaign, alleging irregularities in their campaigning practices.
