**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), a leading fast-moving consumer goods company, announced today its acquisition of a majority stake (90.5%) in Minimalist, a rapidly growing digital-first beauty brand. The deal, expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, will see HUL integrate Minimalist into its Beauty & Wellbeing portfolio.

Minimalist, founded in 2020, has achieved a remarkable annual revenue run rate of INR 500 crore (approximately $60 million USD) in just four years. The brand focuses on premium, actives-led skincare and haircare solutions, emphasizing transparency and scientific efficacy.

HUL will acquire its stake through a combination of secondary buyouts and primary investment, with a plan to acquire the remaining shares within two years. Minimalist’s founders, Mohit Yadav and Rahul Yadav, will remain with the company and continue to collaborate with HUL.

HUL’s CEO and Managing Director, Rohit Jawa, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting its strategic importance in expanding the company’s presence in the high-growth premium beauty segment. The acquisition is expected to leverage HUL’s extensive distribution network to further expand Minimalist’s reach across India and potentially into international markets.
