**Coimbatore, India –** Efforts are underway to foster stronger economic ties between Saxony, Germany, and Tamil Nadu, India, according to participants at the inaugural Joint German-Indian Round Table (GIRT) meeting in Coimbatore on Thursday.

The meeting, bringing together the Coimbatore and Frankfurt chapters of GIRT, highlighted the similarities between Coimbatore and Saxony, particularly their significant numbers of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
