**PAHARAPUR, [Date]** – A district-level T20 cricket tournament, organized by Lucky Cricket Club Nonea, commenced Wednesday at the Plus Two High School ground in Uttar Nonea Panchayat. The tournament was inaugurated by Ratan Kumar Singh Patel, former candidate for the Govindganj assembly constituency and state general secretary of the Janata Dal (United), who performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Patel emphasized the importance of sports in youth development, highlighting its role in physical growth and national unity. The inaugural match saw Star Eleven (Chhapra) facing off against Tie Eleven (Kushinagar). Kushinagar, batting first after losing the toss, was bowled out for 73 runs in 11 overs. Chhapra chased down the target in 13 overs, winning by 6 wickets.
The tournament committee welcomed the guests with shawls and garlands. A large number of spectators attended the event, including committee members Raushan Kushwaha (Raja Babu), Dhruv Prasad, Guddu Prasad, and many others.
