**Madurai, January 22, 2025** – The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) swiftly disbursed provident fund, insurance, and pension benefits to the families of six fireworks factory workers who perished in a devastating explosion in Bommaiyapuram near Virudhunagar on January 4th.
EPFO officials personally contacted the families of the deceased – Kannan, Velmurugan, Meenakshisundaram, Nagaraj, Sivakumar, and Kamaraj – processing their claims and ensuring the benefits were credited to their bank accounts within ten days.
