Wed Jan 22 03:25:52 IST 2025: ## Second Lady Usha Vance Makes Stylish Debut on Inauguration Day
**WASHINGTON, D.C. –** Usha Vance, wife of newly inaugurated Vice President JD Vance, captivated the nation with her fashion choices throughout Inauguration week. On Inauguration Day itself, she made a striking appearance in a bubblegum pink outfit, turning heads at the historic event. Later, at a spectacular dinner hosted by the Vances at the National Gallery of Art, she dazzled in a custom black velvet Oscar de la Renta gown, showcasing asymmetrical floral accents and a sweetheart neckline.
Mrs. Vance, a Yale Law graduate and accomplished trial lawyer, has garnered significant national attention since her husband joined the Trump ticket. Prior to her role as Second Lady, she clerked for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts, and worked as a trial lawyer for the prestigious Munger, Tolles and Olson law firm. She has since left the firm.
Raised in San Diego by Indian immigrant parents – a biologist and an engineer – Mrs. Vance also holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, earned through a Gates Cambridge Scholarship. She and the Vice President met at Yale Law School, marrying in 2014 after graduating. The couple, who live in Cincinnati with their three children, Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel, demonstrated a blend of political gravitas and personal charm throughout the week’s events, including a prayer service at St. John’s Church. Mrs. Vance’s previous community involvement includes a term on the Cincinnati Symphony Board of Directors.
