Wed Jan 22 14:32:19 UTC 2025: ## Auto Driver Stabbed to Death in Broad Daylight in Hanamkonda
**Warangal, Telangana, January 23, 2025** – A 37-year-old auto driver, Macherla Raj Kumar, was stabbed to death in Hanamkonda on Wednesday in an incident caught on mobile phone video and now circulating widely on social media. The alleged assailant, Enugu Venkateshwarlu (47), another auto driver, is in police custody.
The attack occurred near Adalat junction, with witnesses reporting that Venkateshwarlu repeatedly stabbed Raj Kumar in the stomach following an argument. Despite bystanders’ attempts to intervene, the assault continued. Raj Kumar was pronounced dead at MGM Hospital in Warangal after being transported by police.
While the investigation is ongoing, police sources indicate the murder stemmed from a dispute over a woman with whom both men were allegedly involved in extramarital affairs. The Subedari police are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the killing.
