**New Delhi, January 20 (ANI)** – The inaugural Kho Kho World Cup, held in India, concluded successfully with India winning both the men’s and women’s titles. Following the victory, Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) President Sudhanshu Mittal announced that Birmingham, England will host the next World Cup in 2026-27.
Mittal described the first World Cup as a “huge success” and expressed his hope that the 2027 edition will be even larger and exceed expectations. He also revealed that the next International Kho Kho Federation congress will be held on April 17th to strategize for the coming four years.
The announcement was made at a press conference attended by dignitaries including winning captains Pratik Waikar and Priyanka Ingle, and various officials from the KKFI and International Kho Kho Federation. Mittal also noted receiving congratulatory messages from numerous prominent Indian politicians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders from various political parties.
