Tue Jan 21 11:19:38 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Gallery Showcases Surreal Landscapes by Kerala Artist AM Murali

**Hyderabad, January 21, 2025** – A new solo exhibition, “Between Realms,” featuring the metaphysical art of Kerala-based artist AM Murali, is currently captivating audiences at Gallery Space in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The show, which runs until January 24th, presents 23 untitled acrylic works depicting surreal, dreamlike landscapes.

Murali, who has deep ties to Hyderabad dating back to his master’s degree at Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication in 1991, creates these imagined worlds through a meticulous process that can take up to a month. Inspired by his travels across Andhra Pradesh and the Deccan region, his paintings transcend traditional notions of space and time, inviting viewers to engage with their own inner interpretations. The artist intentionally leaves the works untitled, encouraging personal reflection rather than prescribed meaning.

Murali’s artistic journey has taken him from Kerala to Ahmedabad and Mumbai, ultimately leading him back to Hyderabad, where he also serves as a freelance lecturer at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), promoting unconventional approaches in art. He will be featured in another group show in Bengaluru in February. Describing his work as “different” from the more systematic art often seen in Hyderabad, Murali’s exhibition offers a unique and thought-provoking experience for art enthusiasts.
