**Chandigarh, India** – Olympic javelin gold medalist Neeraj Chopra surprised fans on Sunday by announcing his marriage to Himani Mor in a private ceremony held in Himachal Pradesh. The intimate event was attended by approximately 40-50 close friends and family.

Chopra shared the news and several photos from the wedding on social media, expressing his gratitude and asking for well wishes as he and Mor begin their new chapter together.

Mor, 25, is a former tennis player from Sonipat, Haryana. She boasts an impressive academic background, having graduated from Delhi’s Miranda House with a degree in Political Science and Physical Education, and currently pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. Her tennis career highlights include a gold medal at the 2016 World Junior Tennis Championship in Malaysia and participation in the 2017 World University Games in Taipei. She also held a national ranking of 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018 and worked as an assistant women’s tennis coach at Amherst College in Massachusetts.

Chopra’s paternal uncle confirmed the marriage, adding that the couple has left for their honeymoon abroad. The family chose to keep the details of the wedding location and honeymoon destination private.
