TIRUPATI, INDIA – A Chennai-based devotee, Vardhaman Jain, has made a significant contribution of ₹6 crore (approximately $725,000 USD) to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust. The donation, presented to TTD’s Additional Executive Officer Venkayya Chowdary at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, includes ₹5 crore for the Sri Venkateswara Bhakta Seva (SVBC) and ₹1 crore for the Gosamrakshana Trust (cow protection trust). Mr. Jain has previously made substantial donations to various TTD trusts.
Separately, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu offered silk clothes to Lord Rama at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. He was welcomed by Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and received a Vedic blessing and prasad (holy offering) from the temple priests. The event was attended by several TTD board members and officials.
