**Hyderabad, Telangana –** The Telangana government will launch four major welfare schemes on January 26th, Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) Batti Vikramarka announced. These include the Rythu Bharosa (farmer support) scheme, Indira Amma Athmiya Bharosa (support for landless agricultural laborers), the distribution of new ration cards, and the Indira Amma housing scheme.
Vikramarka stated that eligible farmers will receive ₹12,000 per acre, irrespective of any conditions on the land’s suitability. Landless agricultural families will receive ₹12,000 annually under the Indira Amma Athmiya Bharosa scheme. He also clarified that all eligible families will receive ration cards, dispelling rumors of limited distribution. New cards will be issued based on village-level verification.
Minister Juppally Krishna Rao held a review meeting with officials in Nizamabad district to ensure the smooth implementation of these schemes. He emphasized the importance of accurate identification of beneficiaries to prevent past errors and reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the needy. He confirmed that the ration card distribution is an ongoing process and not limited to a single phase.
Concerns were raised by officials about the backlog of applications for ration cards and Indira Amma houses. The government acknowledged these concerns and committed to addressing them. BRS MLC Kavitha demanded the clearance of pending bills for Indira Amma houses. BJP MLAs also offered suggestions for the smooth implementation of the schemes. The government aims for meticulous implementation, ensuring that the intended beneficiaries receive the promised support.
