**Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh:** A fire broke out Sunday evening at the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh, India. The blaze, which originated in a Gita Press pandal near Shastri Bridge in Sector 19, engulfed approximately a dozen tents. While the fire, believed to have been caused by a domestic LPG cylinder explosion, burned for about half an hour, it was quickly brought under control by fire and police teams. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mander confirmed the incident, stating that the fire was extinguished promptly and the situation is now under control. All belongings within the affected tents were destroyed.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the site, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was briefed on the incident. Both officials confirmed that there were no casualties. The NDRF and SDRF also assisted in fire suppression efforts.
