**CHENNAI, January 19, 2025** – Two brothers, Rettamalai (27) and Stalin (24), were chased and stabbed to death by an unidentified gang in Avadi and Pattabiram, Chennai, on Saturday. Police sources confirmed that the victims, residents of Aayili Cheri, had a prior criminal record with the Pattabiram police station. The attack is believed to have been in retaliation for an altercation involving the brothers, who were reportedly intoxicated at the time of the incident.

Avadi City Police Commissioner K. Shankar has formed a special team to investigate the murders and apprehend the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
