**Chennai, January 19, 2025** – A captivating exhibit showcasing impactful stories from *The Hindu*’s Ground Zero series drew significant attention at the recently concluded Lit for Life festival in Chennai. The exhibit, which ran from January 18th to 19th at Lady Andal School, featured a compilation of narrative journalism pieces focusing on ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances.
The Ground Zero series, a weekly feature in *The Hindu*, delves into significant events and their human impact. The exhibit highlighted stories and photographs from 2024, including the Wayanad landslide, the RG Kar rape and murder in Kolkata, and the arrack deaths in Tamil Nadu. Designed by a team of *The Hindu* editors, the exhibit provided an immersive experience for visitors.
According to Suresh Nambath, Editor of *The Hindu*, the Ground Zero stories illuminate “the lives of ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances.” A book compiling the best of these stories has been published and is now available for pre-order. The exhibit served as a compelling preview of the book’s powerful narratives.
