Sun Jan 19 14:27:36 UTC 2025: ## India Names Squad for Champions Trophy, England ODI Series
**Mumbai, India** – India has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, with almost the same team set to play a preceding three-match ODI series against England. The squad, revealed by captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, features one notable addition: Yashasvi Jaiswal, who receives his maiden ODI call-up after a stellar 2024 Test season.
The only change from the Champions Trophy squad to the England ODI series is the inclusion of Harshit Rana as backup for Jasprit Bumrah, whose fitness remains uncertain. Shubman Gill will serve as vice-captain for both series.
The ICC Champions Trophy, returning after an eight-year absence, will be co-hosted by Pakistan and the UAE from February 19 to March 9. India’s matches will be played in the UAE. India is grouped with Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand in the tournament, kicking off their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20th, followed by a high-profile clash against Pakistan on February 23rd.
The three-match ODI series against England begins February 6th.
