**Nashville, TN** – FOX 17 News has issued a Code Red weather alert for Middle Tennessee due to a combination of freezing temperatures and light snowfall. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Plateau region from 4 AM to 6 PM Sunday, with up to one inch of snow accumulation possible, and potentially more in some areas. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Middle Tennessee, with temperatures plummeting to single digits early Monday morning. Wind chills could reach as low as 5 degrees below zero. Sub-freezing temperatures are forecast to persist from Saturday night through Wednesday. Monday’s high is expected to be a mere 23 degrees, with Tuesday reaching only 29 degrees.
