Sat Jan 18 01:14:54 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh Government Orders Inquiry into IPS Officer’s Conduct, Drops Action Against Another
**Vijayawada, January 18, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh government has initiated a formal inquiry into allegations against IPS officer P.V. Sunil Kumar, currently DGP (waiting). R.P. Sisodia, Special Chief Secretary to the Government (Land and D.M., Registration and Stamps), has been appointed as the inquiring authority. Harish Kumar Gupta, Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement, will serve as the presenting officer. This decision follows the issuance of Government Order (GO) 96 on Friday.
Separately, the government announced in GO 95 that it will drop further action against IPS officer Madireddy Pratap, regarding comments he made at a press conference in 2020. The government accepted Mr. Pratap’s explanation for the comments made at the APSRTC headquarters.
