Sat Jan 18 12:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Fox News Taps Will Cain to Replace Neil Cavuto in Weekday Afternoon Slot
**NEW YORK (AP)** — Fox News Channel has announced that Will Cain will be taking over the weekday afternoon timeslot previously held by Neil Cavuto, who departed the network last month. Cain, currently a weekend host for “Fox & Friends,” will debut his new show next Tuesday at 4 p.m. Eastern.
The coveted weekday slot places Cain’s show directly before “The Five,” one of Fox News’ highest-rated programs. Unlike Cavuto’s show, which often focused on business news, Cain’s program will adopt a broader approach, incorporating his background in law, news, sports, and entertainment. He plans to bring his podcasting style to television, featuring extended interviews and in-depth analysis.
Cain, a lawyer who previously worked at ESPN, CNN, and The Blaze, joined Fox News in 2020. He stated his goal is to provide viewers with “thought-provoking content and analysis” to help them better understand current events. His weekday podcast will continue alongside his new television role.
Filling Cain’s spot on the weekend “Fox & Friends” will be Fox contributor Charlie Hurt, beginning this Saturday.
