**New Delhi, January 18, 2025** – A war of words erupted between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday, with AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal labeling the Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme a “biggest scam.” Kejriwal, citing a Supreme Court statement, claimed the scheme is fraudulent and promised a full investigation upon a change in central government.

In response, BJP national president J.P. Nadda accused the AAP of ignoring a Delhi High Court order to sign an MoU for the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Nadda pledged to implement the scheme immediately upon forming the next government. He further criticized AAP’s Mohalla Clinics, alleging widespread corruption involving fraudulent lab tests, a ₹3 billion scam, and the distribution of ₹1 billion worth of medicines to the Chief Minister’s associates. He dismissed AAP’s Sanjeevani scheme as a mere political manoeuvre.

The clash comes ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections in 2025, setting the stage for a heated political battle.
