Thu Jan 16 23:58:04 UTC 2025: ## Reliance Industries Posts Strong Q3 FY25 Results, Driven by Digital and Retail Growth
**Mumbai, January 16, 2025** – Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), India’s largest conglomerate, today announced robust third-quarter results for fiscal year 25, showcasing strong growth across its key businesses. Consolidated net profit reached ₹18,540 crore, a 7.4% year-on-year (YoY) increase, while revenue climbed 6.7% to ₹2.40 lakh crore. EBITDA grew 8% YoY to ₹43,789 crore, with an improved margin of 18.3%.
The stellar performance was fueled by exceptional growth in the digital services and retail sectors. Reliance Jio, RIL’s telecom arm, reported a 19.4% YoY revenue surge to ₹33,074 crore, driven by tariff revisions and 5G adoption. Net profit for Jio increased by 26% to ₹6,861 crore, with 3.3 million net subscriber additions in Q3. Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) rose 12% YoY to ₹203.3.
Reliance Retail also delivered strong results, with revenue rising 7% YoY to ₹79,595 crore and net profit increasing 10% to ₹3,458 crore. The segment opened 779 new stores, bringing its total to 19,102.
While the Oil-to-Chemicals (O2C) business saw a slight sequential revenue dip, it still recorded a 6% YoY increase to ₹149,595 crore. Growth in domestic fuel retailing and higher polymer deltas offset the impact of unfavorable fuel cracks, the company stated. The Oil & Gas business experienced a revenue decline due to lower gas and condensate volumes.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of RIL, highlighted the resilience of the O2C business and the strong performance of the digital and retail sectors, attributing the success to strategic initiatives and favorable market conditions. Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, emphasized the rapid expansion of 5G and the company’s commitment to AI-driven innovation. Isha Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Retail, underscored the success of the company’s omnichannel strategy.
RIL’s shares closed 1.31% higher at ₹1,268.70 on the BSE following the announcement.
